SuperSonic Imagine has developed an ultrasound system with an innovative medical platform that can measure and visualize tissue elasticity.
SuperSonic Imagine has driven medical imaging beyond the limits of conventional ultrasound technology by combining ShearWave™ Elastography with Ultrafast™ Imaging to measure the speed of the propagation of shear waves in tissue. From this measurement, the quantitative elasticity of the tissue is revealed. Tissue elasticity (stiffness or softness) is an essential parameter in medicine because tissue stiffness is related to pathology.
